Wagagai Minging (U) Limited., is a mining company invested and constructed in Uganda by Hongda Group in accordance with the spirit of Beijing Summit of China-Africa Cooperation Forum. The company main project is gold mine in Busia, with the area of 9.13 square kilometers. In preliminary stage, the proved ore reserves is 8.39 million tons, Au content is 25 tons, the average grade is 2.96g/t. In 2020, the amount of newly explored Au content is 5 tons, and now the amount of Au content increases to 30 tons. In the future, the amount of ore is expected to break through 30 million tons, and 40-45 ton of gold can be produced. After the gold mine established and put into production, the annual output value is 280 billion shillings (UGX), the annual tax is 60 billion shillings (UGX), and 3000 jobs could be created. At the same time, it will promote the common development of surrounding real estate, education, health, finance, tourism and other industries, bringing considerable economic income to Busia Region. 

At present, the mining area is running out infrastructure construction. The staff dormitories, offices, laboratories, warehouses, parking lots, petrol stations, etc. had been built and occupied the area of 66.7  hectares. For the future, we are planing to invest 400 billion Shillings (UGX) for building an industrial zone and living area which are centered on gold mine. The industrial zone will be built and reach production capacity in 2023. The living areas are located around the industrial areas, and are mainly used to build Bridges and roads, build churches, renovate houses, improve the environment, and fund charities to help the local government improve people's livelihood and benefit the society.

The mine adopts the most advanced equipment and technology in the world and employs the best teams at home and abroad for design and R & D, so as to strive for the well-being of the people of the two countries and make strong contributions to promoting the comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries to a new level!
