On March 30 local time, the classroom donated by Wagagai Mining (U) Limited - the subsidiary company Hongda Enterprise Group for the Confucius Institute of Makerere University in Uganda was officially completed. On the same day, more than 100 people including leaders of Hongda Enterprise Group and Wagagai Company, the management of Makerere University, the Chinese and Ukrainian directors of the Confucius Institute and representatives of teachers and students attended the inauguration ceremony.

At auspicious time, Professor Nawangwe, President of Makerere University, and Tan Jiuchang, General Manager of Hongda Enterprise Group, jointly unveiled the new classroom in the moving Chinese singing of the students of the Confucius Institute.

Professor Nawangwe, extended his sincerest gratitude to Wagagai company. He said that in human history, only the Chinese civilization has never been interrupted and has been bursting with vigor and vitality. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Makerere University. Wagagai's donation to build classrooms will not only improve the school's conditions, but also inspire teachers and students to welcome the anniversary with more enthusiasm.

Mr. Tan expressed his high respect to the teachers of Makerere University in his speech. He said that the teachers and students of the Confucius Institute are not only the wealth of the university, but also the wealth of the enterprise and the precious wealth of the society. Paying attention to education, respecting talents, and helping students succeed are the long-term responsibilities of the group. He hoped that through this event, all sectors of the society would give more love and support to Uganda's education.
