►On the afternoon of July 27, 2023 local time, a delegation team with more than 30 officials led by Ms. Ruth Nankabirwa, Minister of Uganda Energy and Mines, Mr. Amos Lugolobi, Minister of State of Finance, Mr. Aubois, Minister of National Defense, Ms. Aginais, Director of Geology and Mineral Resources, Mr. Vincent, Deputy Director of Geology and Mineral Resources visited the Wagagai Gold Mine project. Mr. Tan Jiuchang, General manager of Hongda Group, led the Uganda business departmentt and the Wagagai project leaders warmly welcomed and grandly received them.

►First of all, the delegation watched the publicity film of project department and  achievement film of technical training in VIP hall of mining area. General Manger Mr. Tan made a macro introduction to the guests on the investment planning, development and construction, project progress, output value and future development. Minister Ruth and other leaders highly appreciated the practice of our company to carry out industrial technology training and vigorously cultivate local talents.

►After lunch together, accompanied by General Manager Mr. Tan, Deputy General Manager of the project Jiang Genshui, Deputy General manager of the Business Department Zhong Hao, External Affairs Manager Chen Yingying, Human Resources Manager Wang Guochao, the delegation took a field visit along the route of Main Well Area 2- Selection Plant - Core Storage - Ramp Area 1. The site translation staff provided detailed explanations to the guests on the industrial layout, construction status, corporate responsibility, social contribution, and other aspects of implementing the concept of building a gold production base of "safety and technology, green environmental protection, resource and energy saving, and leading selection and smelting".

►Mr. Tan personally introduced the gold mining engineering equipment, beneficiation and smelting technology, and process flow. The delegation expressed sincere praise and gratitude for the practices and achievements of our development and construction concept, environmental protection, stimulating economy, building a model project in East Africa and benefiting the people of Uganda. Minister Ruth is very satisfied with this and is very pleased to see the development and construction speed of Wagaggi Mining and looks forward to the early production of the project.

►After the visit, the two sides moved to the meeting room for communication. The leaders of the delegation made speeches on the scale and strength of our company and the experience of the site visit, and expressed their willingness to provide strong support for the construction of the Wagagai project in the future.

►At the meeting, General Manager Mr. Tan stated that the Wagagai project needs support in several aspects, including the establishment of special tax incentives for investment by the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Ministry of Finance, application for special project support, and ensuring that the ore should be fully mined and used for smelting and extracting gold. Mr. Tan also exchanged views with Minister Ruth on the special power supply preferential matters, and applied again for personal income tax exemption for experts and talents during the construction of the project, visa concessions for Chinese employees, and security of the mining area. The relevant Ministers replied to the above questions afterward.

►In the end of the meeting, Minister Ruth made a final statement and said regarding the above issues, the delegation team will actively promote and strive for proper arrangements after returning, promising to provide relevant policy support and tax incentives. Minister Ruth expressed the grateful for our hospitality and hope that Wagagai Mining will be better and better in the future.
