On August 15, 2022, local time, a team led by Tan Jiuchang, General Manager of Liaoning Hongda Enterprise Group, and Liu Hui, General Manager of Wagagai Mining (U) Limited, paid a return visit to Busitema University - the largest and third-ranked public institution of higher learning in eastern Uganda. Mr. Tan signed a MOU with the President of Busitema University, Professor Paul Waako.

The signing of the MOU further expands the scope of cooperation between Wagagai Mining (U) Limited and Uganda institutions of higher learning, and constantly strengthens a solid foundation for Wagagai Mining to become a practice, research, training and employment base for local graduates. The return visit not only fulfilled the promise made by Mr. Tan to the leaders of the university when they visited the Wagagai Gold Mine in June, but also was the practical action of Wagagai Mining to continue to make contributions to Uganda's education after signing the MOU with Makerere University in Uganda in July, highlighting the Group's commitment to "Supporting Education and Cultivating Talents" as a long-term corporate responsibility.

Before signing the MOU, Mr. Tan and his team, accompanied by President Paul and the university's senior management team, visited the engineering technology training equipment workshop, mining materials laboratory, solar power station and other places of the university. The two sides had a constructive discussion.

During the signing speech, President Paul affirmed the strength of Wagagai Mining and looked forward to the cooperation prospects of both sides. Mr. Tan stressed that the equipment and production process adopted by Wagagai Mining are world-class, and the importance and determination of the company to build a green, energy-saving, safe, technological and leading mine in Uganda, as well as the importance of this university-enterprise cooperation. Mr. Tan welcomed the graduates of Busitema University to come to practice and receive skills training, and will select the qualified graduates to work in Wagagai Mining.
