At 7:30 a.m. on September 4, 2022, in order to help the cancer patients in Busia, Wagagai Mining (U) Limited was invited to participate in the 7th Rotary International Cancer Charity Race held by the Busia International Rotary Club in Uganda. The event was held in Busia Town, where the sun was rising and the weather was pleasant. The race was 10 kilometers long and there were about 50 participants, consisting of representatives of local governments, enterprises, banks and schools, and 4 local employees from Wagagai Mining.

In order to better encourage the cancer patients in Busia and express respect and friendship to them, Wagagai Mining became one of the sponsors of the event, providing more than 100 boxes of drinking water and a pickup truck to serve the runners throughout the whole event.

At the event, the organizer invited Mr. Liu Liang, the outreach manager of Wagagai Mining (U) Limited, to present awards to the top three winners and deliver a speech. Mr. Liu Liang said that it is very meaningful to participate in such public welfare activities, and hoped that friends suffering from cancer in Busia area can recover soon.

Leaders of Liaoning Hongda Enterprise Group, the parent company of Wagagai Mining, said that Wagagai Mining will continue to participate in similar public welfare activities in the future. The company will do its best to provide charitable assistance to the people in the region, actively assume corporate social responsibility, and spread love to all walks of life in the region.
